INTJ INFP Relationships?

by Guest on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 - 11:12pm

I am a female INTJ in my late teens. Several years ago, I got into a relationship with a male INFP who is slightly older than myself. He had moved away for much of that time, but recently moved back for college, and I want to know as much as I can about INTJ INFP relationships. There doesn't seem to be much information regarding the INTJ/INFP dynamic, especially in romantic relationships. From...

Strange result feedback - INTJ measured as ISFJ

by darwin.ranzone on Friday, December 16, 2016 - 3:39pm

I was surprised as
this test seems to be very sophisticated

So i was very curious to check the results and i read them through and it is definitely not my personality

I was a previously identified as INTJ

I will make the test some time in the future, but i usually dont answer very different in these kind of tests and i have done other tests at different times and i...

Help with my son

by Guest on Monday, November 14, 2016 - 5:09pm

My son says he is INTJ and after reading several articles I think he is right. My problem is dealing with him. He is now 20 and has always been a lonely child. Recently he was in the hospital because he had threatened to kill himself. He is back home on medication. We try talking to him but he always has this attitude of 'mind your own business', says we don't know him and never have. A couple...

INTJ looking for a good career path

by Guest on Thursday, November 3, 2016 - 7:54am

I'm high school and is looking for a good career path. I'm an introvert(obviously) and thought about several factors in looking for a career because I was anxious about my disadvantages of being one. I've realized that I've been critical about choosing. It was one of the priorities these past months. I had been suggested by my parent's to think about accounting-which I later found was the...

Intj

by Guest on Thursday, October 20, 2016 - 1:36pm

I suppose I'm a bit confused, because I do believe in a higher power & actively participate in that role. There are few people that I love, but if I love you, it is with intensity.

Need advice on my relationship with an INTJ

by Guest on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 - 6:50pm

So I've been dating an INTJ for a few months. We started off as friends and it never occured to me that he liked me. I have many insecurities and have been let down a lot in the past. Although I know I shouldn't let my past dictate my future I am still quite wary and a little insecure. I'm giving the guy a chance and for thr past ten months he messages me everyday even though I've said he...

INTJ and Board Games

by Guest on Saturday, October 1, 2016 - 6:59pm

Hey guys,
I am an INTJ and I really love playing board games, which I would assume is a common hobby among us (?). For those of you who do love playing board games, do you often find that people eventually gang up on you? Not to be mean or anything like that, but because everyone thinks you're really good at the game (though you might just be mediocre), so they attack you out of fear?...

Relationship epiphany at midlife

by Guest on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 - 7:04pm

Stumbled on this forum by chance today. I'm an INTJ woman in my early 50s and have been pondering the whole relationship thing for many days now. Was married for a while earlier in life, for all the wrong reasons, and I have chalked that up to a disaster I won't repeat. This summer I met a man who is absolutely everything I could want: we enjoy the same outdoor pursuits, have a compatible...

INTJs in a relationship with INFPs

by Amylee.beck on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 - 3:13pm

I'm going to post this topic in both the INFP and INTJ forums.

I'm an INFP woman and recently just started dating an INTJ man. I've read mixed things regarding the success of these two personality types together in a relationship and after recently ending a long and not so joyous marriage with an ESTJ I'm cautiously selecting my next partner based on, hopefully, better compatibility....

Hillary Clinton

...is not an INTJ. I don't believe that she is so all-knowing and deep thinking. She may be an ENTJ or something else, but a scientist or mastermind she is not.

INTJ FAQ Question #5: How can INTJs achieve happiness in a largely banal, shallow society?

by Guest on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 - 5:45pm

I strongly disagree with your statement "It’s just that you need to be right. Like, all the time." Wrong - I want to be disproven so I can learn from my mistakes and to be shown where I was in error; assuming I was in error. Or at least discover another view point for consideration. I want to learn. I find myself the happiest when I'm learning; not being right all of the time. Being right all...

Multiple personality results

by shirleysolderer on Monday, June 6, 2016 - 5:10pm

I really do not know what personality type this about!!

I know someone (a man) who took the test and the result was very confusing and somewhat concerning. He has 8 different personality types to choose from. Does anyone know why this would happen?????

He said he took the test seriously and was not joking around.

I would really appreciate some answers. Thank you.

Struggling with School and Priorities

by legojack88 on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 - 2:25am

Basically, I (a very near sixteen year old INTJ teenager) am somewhat depressed, and I'm not doing so great in school. I am oftentimes distracted from my work, instead attempting to put off things in favor of vain means of entertainment. Though it seems false to accuse myself of such a thing, I would say that I am in a state of emotional distress. Every day, I become stressed by things such as...

Questioning the actual validity of the MBTI.

by Guest on Thursday, April 7, 2016 - 4:20pm

Hello fellow INTJ's,
Lately I have been questioning the validity of the Myers Briggs Personality Test. This questioning was due to the fact that, I noticed that almost all websites with descriptions of personalities never had much negativity to be said. The closest thing to a flaw was when a website said that, "INTJ's tend to be arrogant and condensending..." This was immediately...

The 'Thinking' Trait.

by ananyamishra.kkm on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 - 6:07pm

Most tests for finding one's MBTI personality type contain questions regarding the 'Thinking' (T) trait that I find somewhat unsatisfactory. To me, being the 'T' type rather than 'F' indicates my affinity towards logic, which is objective, rather than emotions, which are biased, and incorporating such logic in taking decisions. Also, such decisions must portray an application of undaunted...

two personalities

by Guest on Thursday, March 24, 2016 - 1:55am

What does it mean if you are both, an INTJ, and an INFJ?

Do I get to pick and choose what matches on both traits...? lol

Coping as an INTJ teenager

by Guest on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 - 4:10pm

As I have begun to mature, I've developed emotional problems regarding myself and my environment. I am nearly sixteen years old, and recently I have begun to feel "displaced", as if I could just as easily be made of metal and circuits as I am of flesh and bone. Not only am I uncomfortable with who and where I am, I tend to feel uncomfortable in my own body. I would say that my current...
